Ubisoft, one of the world's leading video game publishers, wanted to expand beyond games with a diverse trans-media campaign.
Paradiso developed an ambitious, holistic media strategy, showcasing Ubisoft’s flagship video game licenses (i.e. Assassin’s Creed, The Division, and Skull & Bones) with an extensive collection of podcasts.
Our goal was to unify Ubisoft's approach to podcasts and strengthen its position in the industry. Paradiso designed a clear and precise editorial angle, utilizing Ubisoft’s existing IP and enriching it with new formats before taking projects out to market. We then developed, produced and distributed Ubisoft’s owned-and-operated series. Operating as an industry advisor, Paradiso connected Ubisoft with platforms, conducting competitive analysis on hosting & monetization partner options. We also planned and facilitated Ubisoft’s media & host-read campaign strategy.
The first product of this collaboration is the "Echoes of History," inspired by the Assassin's Creed games. This feed hosts several narrative mini-series, brought to life by influencers and actors, such as Michelle Rodriguez (“Fast & Furious”). These series extend the gamer experience and explore epic historical legends — accessible to Ubisoft's target audience and to all those curious about history. Following the success of this initial feed, Paradiso and Ubisoft have developed more series, several of which are set for release in 2023.
